New Show Home Photography for Jennian Homes HB at the Iona Development, Havelock North

The Jennian Homes HB team completed a new show home at the Iona development in Havelock North in June 2026 and needed photography to promote and bring the finished build to market.

The brief covered both the marketing still and video imagery for the show home itself and coverage of the launch event held to introduce it to the local community, including friends, suppliers and invited guests.

Approach

I captured the still imagery, and art directed the capture of the aerial photography for the show home, working alongside Ben Firman from Engage Media, who flew the drone for the aerial shots and captured video footage for the promotional reel. Together we covered the property from the outside in, including the exterior architecture, interior spaces and aerial perspectives of the site and surrounding development.

I also photographed the launch event itself, an evening gathering at the property where guests could walk through and experience the finished home firsthand. Event photography like this calls for a different pace to architectural work, staying alert to genuine moments while people are moving through the space.

Outcome

Fifty-five external, internal and aerial still images were delivered for the show home, alongside seventy-five images from the launch event, for a combined total of 130 final images. All stills were supplied in both high resolution and web resolution files, ready for print and digital use. Ben Firman's video footage was also delivered as part of the promotional reel.

The images are now being used across Jennian Homes HB's website and social media channels to market the Iona show home.
